2. What we process - Account data: email address, username, display name, bio, profile and cover photo, language, settings. - Content: questions you send and receive, answers, comments (including edits), reactions, follows. - Activity shown to others: whether a question you received was seen, and your answer streak (days in a row with an answer). - For anonymous questions and comments we store who sent them, but never show it to other users. - Technical data: login sessions, push notification tokens, basic server logs.

3. Why (legal basis, GDPR Art. 6) - To provide the service you signed up for (Art. 6(1)(b)). - Safety, abuse prevention and moderation, including automated AI checks of text (Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interest in a safe community; and Art. 6(1)(c) where the law requires it). - Push and browser notifications only with your permission (Art. 6(1)(a)); you can turn them off at any time.

4. AI moderation Text of questions and comments is sent to our AI provider to check it for abuse and, if you ask for it, to suggest answers. Results are used only for moderation and these features. We do not use your content to train AI models.

5. Service providers (processors) - Supabase (database, login, file storage, live notifications) – EU region (Frankfurt). - Vercel (website hosting). - AI provider for moderation and suggestions: DeepSeek (Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd.). - Expo (push notification delivery). - Email provider for login codes. We have data processing agreements with our providers. Where data leaves the EU/EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep data As long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, answers, comments, reactions, follows and photos are deleted. Questions you sent stay with their recipients but are no longer linked to you. Moderation records may be kept up to 6 months for safety reasons.

7. Your rights Access and data portability (Settings → Download my data), rectification, erasure (Settings → Delete account), restriction, objection, and withdrawing consent. You can also complain to a supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA).

8. Children Askanon.me is not for people under 16.
